Retrieval of document that 'disappeared"

Document content disappeared from the folder on Monday 3rd July. A new document was created the following day, and the same thing happened - the content disappeared? It seems the problem may be at the system end, not the user end. We would like to retrieve the original document lost on Monday if possible. Grateful for your prompt response.

And about your missing contents, you must check first who owns this folder. Is this your owned or collaborated folder? If it's the latter, when items are deleted from a collaboration folder, both the owner and the person who deleted the item can recover the items from the Trash.
Meanwhile, if you own the deleted folder please restore them through trash/bin.
To restore specific items in Trash:
The steps below apply whether you’re selecting from search results or from all Trash items.
- Hover to highlight the row of the item you want. The More Options ellipsis (…) displays.
- Click the ellipsis (...). Then:
- To return the item to its original location in Box, click Restore.
- At the prompt, click Okay.
