Shared link for a Document Opens in Middle of Document

I've noticed that when I click a hyperlink to a document stored in Box often the document opens to a random page in the middle of the document. It is consistent that it always opens to the same random place.

Is this because of where the document link was created when the user who created the link was in the open document? If so, is there an easy way to fix that without changing the link completely?
