unsub = gross violation of CAN SPAM
AnsweredEveryone who is having difficulty unsubscribing, please complain to the FTC, which enforces the CAN SPAM Act and Rule: either ReportFraud.ftc.gov, or www.ftc.gov/complaint will work. Four steps to unsubscribe is absolutely ridiculous, not to mention a CAN SPAM violation: CAN SPAM requires NOT ONLY telling recipients how to opt out of receiving future email, BUT ALSO honoring opt-out requests promptly, and specifically: "You can’t ... make the recipient take any step other than sending a reply email or visiting a single page on an Internet website as a condition for honoring an opt-out request. Requiring receiving and entering a 'code' is a CAN SPAM violation!
