2FA login ends up at blank white screen
CompletedWe have a number of users who log into Box.com using the latest Edge and Chrome browsers on up to date Win10 22H2 systems on our corporate network.
Their Box.com accounts are set up to use 2FA.
Over the past couple of months, these users have reported that after logging in, they end up at a blank white screen.
During that same time, our proxy/firewall team has been making changes to the proxy configuration.
If I turn off 2FA for a user, they can then connect successfully to Box.com and see their files and folders. Once I turn 2FA back on, then after logging in, they reach a blank white screen.
Also, if I take a user's system and connect it directly to the internet, bypassing our proxy/firewall, when the user logs into Box.com using 2FA, they log in successfully and see their files.
Is there a document that explains how the proxy/firewall should be configured to allow connections to Box.com when accessed using a web browser.
I saw this article but wasn't sure if the information applied to using the browsers to access Box.com:

Thanks!

Do you post resolutions to any of these white screen problems? I've had a ticket open with my IT for months with no resolution. Our IT say they have me and another new member configured like all the others but ours get the white screen, while the older members get proper access. It's apparent they don't (or you don't) talk to each other on this issue. Login screen looks like broken old BBS system with text displayed. Fill in the login credentials NEXT and password then get the white screen. Windows 10 Pro 22H2 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1270P 2.20 GHz. Tried using Edge, Chrome, and Firefox browsers. Cache cleared. Since I don't have admin access to this machine I'm limited in what I can configure/change. I sure wish you posted the resolution the many users who have reported this problem had so one could try to get this working.

Jim, for my issue the problem was definitely proxy-server related. If I took one of our corporate systems (Win10 Enterprise 21H2 or 22H2) and bypassed the proxy server, the logins to Box.com was successful. The support team from Box.com was willing to work with me to try to find out what we were missing from our proxy configuration. Unfortunately, I had to turn down their offer because it may have led to a security/legal issue at my company. Our problems with the "white screen on login" started in July. At that time, our proxy server/firewall team were starting to make adjustments for a new configuration. They were adamant that nothing changed to affect the Box.com logins. My tests that bypassed the proxy/firewall showed that they were incorrect. As the proxy/firewall team worked on their new configuration, the logins to Box.com started working again in early October. While this seems to be fixed in my environment, it doesn't offer you any solution to what you're experiencing. Sorry about that. Zed
