All my files are gone

I worked on my files on 28th August 2023 and today August 29th 2023, they are all gone. Where did they go? How can they be retrieved?

  Welcome to Box Community and glad to help! 

  Are you looking for the missing content that you've worked on in your particular file or is it the file itself that disappears? If it's the latter, please check out your trash/bin icon to restore your file. 

  To restore specific items in Trash:

  The steps below apply whether you’re selecting from search results or from all Trash items.

  1. Hover to highlight the row of the item you want. The More Options ellipsis (…) displays.
  2. Click the ellipsis (...).  Then: 

  • To return the item to its original location in Box, click Restore.

  3. At the prompt, click Okay.

  I updated my phone number, added two step authentication and a second email.  Now every single folder, file and picture is gone.  My storage is at zero and there's nothing in my trash.  This is really bad.
