Computer won't recognize boxtool installation

I can't open files within Box to my desktop as it asks me to install Box Tools.  I've done that about a half a dozen times and I still can't open my file on the desk top.  I've rebooted my computer, and I've tried everything.  Box is becoming a waste of my time.
