Linking Personal email error

When I try to link my personal email address, I get the error "There was an error while trying to add [info redacted] to your account." I have tried other addresses and the same thing happens.

My primary box account is [info redacted]

  Welcome to Box Community and glad to help!

  Box only allows you to use your email address once. You may be using an email address that is already tied to your other Box account.
