missing or deleted files

I seem to have had a large file disappear... any chance there is a log? was it ever there? where did it go? which user did something with it?

  Welcome to Box Community and glad to help! 

  You can check your trash/bin icon in box.com to recover your missing  file.

  To restore specific items in Trash:

  The steps below apply whether you’re selecting from search results or from all Trash items.

  1. Hover to highlight the row of the item you want. The More Options ellipsis (…) displays.
  2. Click the ellipsis (...).  Then: 

  • To return the item to its original location in Box, click Restore.

  3. At the prompt, click Okay.

  Helpful tip: 

  • The Items I deleted filter displays all items you have deleted, regardless of who created or owns the item.
  • The Items I own filter displays all deleted items you own, regardless of who deleted the item.
