Missing Folder

I have been saving my important stuff in a folder for the past few months and it is missing. Can the support help in retrieving it?

  Hi there,

  Welcome to Box Community and glad to help!

  Are you looking for your own folder? If so, you may check your trash and look for the missing folder(s). 

  To search through your Trash folder:

  1. Navigate to your Trash folder.
  2. Toward the top, click the Search Files and Folders
  3. In the box that displays, enter any search parameters.
  4. Check Only search inside of “Trash.”
  5. Press Enter

  Alternatively, you can filter content by items you own, or by items you’ve deleted.  To do this, directly beneath the folder label (Trash), click the Items I Own (or Items I Deleted) down arrow.  Then click the option you want.

  To restore items in Trash:

  The steps below apply whether you’re selecting from search results or from all Trash items.

  1. Hover to highlight the row of the item you want. The More Options ellipsis (…) displays.
  2. Click the ellipsis (...).  Then: 

  • To return the item to its original location in Box, click Restore.

  3. At the prompt, click Okay.
