    The only one that's ever going to comment on this is myself to say good luck trying to get a hold of anyone at this company it just goes to show you you can't trust any cloud company to be responsible or ethical

    Welcome to Box Community and glad to help!

    Regarding your missing files, are these your shared or owned files? If it's the latter you may check your trash/bin icon to locate your missing files. 

    To search through your Trash folder:

    1. Navigate to your Trash folder.
    2. Toward the top, click the Search Files and Folders
    3. In the box that displays, enter any search parameters.
    4. Check Only search inside of “Trash.”
    5. Press Enter.

    Once you confirmed your missing files are in trash, please go ahead and restore your files. 

    The steps below apply whether you’re selecting from search results or from all Trash items.

    1. Hover to highlight the row of the item you want. The More Options ellipsis () displays.
    2. Click the ellipsis (...).  Then: 
    • To return the item to its original location in Box, click Restore.
    1. At the prompt, click Okay.

    Meanwhile, for shared files please reach out to the file owner.
