Received an email regarding fair use policy
AnsweredHi,
I just got the following notice (see after the message).
I am worried that I am losing my files, as I went to try and download some of them and it says that I cannot connect to Box.
Are you cancelling my account? I am not quite sure why I got this message, but looking for answers if possible or if someone can reach out to me directly. I have emailed cancel@box.com and support@box.com with the hopes of an answer.
Cheers!

Dear Box admin,
Thank you for your continued use of Box. We have detected a significant increase in bandwidth use to your account 1057798734 that exceeds the bandwidth limitations set forth in our Fair Use Policy (Section 1, article a) and violates the Box Terms of Service.
As a result, to prevent abuse and ensure the integrity of the Box Service for all our users, we have implemented preventative measures to limit your bandwidth.
We ask that you take the necessary steps to reduce your bandwidth usage and otherwise ensure your use of Box does not risk overburdening or impairing the services. For more information about what drives bandwidth usage, please refer to this article.
Box reserves its right to pursue additional remedial action should you continue to use Box in any manner that exceeds the permitted bandwidth limits or otherwise violates our Terms of Service and/or our Fair Use Policy. Such action may include, but is not limited to, reducing the bandwidth available to your account and potentially suspending your use of the Box Service.
If you no longer wish to remain on the platform, we will expedite your cancelation and refund for the remaining duration of your account.
Thank you for your understanding and for being a valued Box customer.
Sincerely,
The Box team

I received the same thing. We are a very small business, and 3/5 users do not actively use the service. I do not see how we avoided the Fair Act policy of bandwidth. We also reached out to BOX Support, but they did not respond to help us. They hold our files for ransom while still charging us for the service.
