OneNote disabled by administrator when listed as available in box apps & integrations
AnsweredI am trying to create a OneNote notebook through my Box but when trying to add it I get a message saying "Disabled by Administrator". I am the admin and went in to make sure "Box for Office" is listed as available and it is. How do I fix this issue?

Hi Dennis,
Welcome to Box Community and glad to assist!
You may enable third party applications using the steps below.
Resolution Steps for a Box Administrator
Published Applications
- Navigate to the Admin Console > Apps.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page for Individual Application Controls and search for the name of the application.
- If the app is listed in the search results, make sure the status is set to Available. The page will auto-save and the end-user can now access the app.
Unpublished Applications
If the app is not listed in the search results, it is called an Unpublished Application, an app that is not publicly available in our App Gallery. In this case, follow the steps below:
- Go to Admin Console > Apps.
- Click the Custom Apps Manager tab.
- Click Add App.
- Enter the Client ID (also called the API Key).
- If this is an internal application, you should ask the app developer for this value from the configuration tab of the developer console (aka client ID).
- Otherwise, the needed value can be found on the Disabled by Administrator error message page by navigating to the URL. For example:
- The value you need is after "client_id=".
- View the app details.
- Click Enable. The end-user should now be able to work with the Application.
In reference to this, kindly visit this community page, "Disabled by Administrator: Cannot Use Application."
Hope it helps!
