Need Help Updating Primary Email Address Without Upgrading

Hello Box Community,

I'm trying to update the email address associated with my Box account, but the available options suggest linking a personal email, which appears to be a paid service. 

Is there a way to update my email address without linking a personal account or upgrading my plan? Any guidance on this would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Morty, 

    Welcome to Box Community and glad to assist! 

    You can easily update your primary email address without upgrading your Box account, please follow the steps below. 

    To add an email address:

    1. Login to box.com and go to your Account Settings> Login and Email Addresses. 
    2. Click Link Personal Emails.
    3. A new window will pop up and click Link Personal Email once more.
    4. Enter a valid email address.
    5. Click Save.

    An email verification will be sent to the address you entered. Click the verification link in the email to confirm and add the alternate email to you account.

    To make a secondary email address your primary email address:

    • Click Make Primary next to the email address you want as your primary email address.
