File size quota exceeded even after deleting files and removing them from trash

Hello, nobody can upload anything to my shared folder because Box says I am over my storage limit. However, adding up my file totals, I should have plenty of room. I recently filled up my storage and then deleted a large number of files, then cleared the trash. How long does this take to update?
