My co-worker lost a 2FA's device, so he cannot log in his acount. We contacted Box support and was told they could not verify the account ownership.

I see that your co-worker has already reached out to Product Support in order to address his 2FA issue.
Note that his ownership test is crucial to regain his login with Box and we can't bypass it. Please have the user to continue to work with our member via his existing ticket.
