Unable to add a collabotor as they're not in my collaborator list

How do I add a collaborator to the collaborator list?  I created a folder and I'm trying to share it, but the individual is not in my collaborator list so they system will not allow me to share the folder.  Thanks.

  Are you having error inviting a collaborator? If so, could you attach a screenshot in the forum to get a closer look?
