Signed in via SSO, still got Strong Password Required message
AnsweredI signed in via SSO because I have Box through my organization. Someone who is part of another organization external to my organization invited me to collaborate on a folder, and I got a message that I need to update to a strong password before I can access it. In previous posts about this "Strong Password Required" message, the answer claimed that "If an external collaborator already uses SSO to access Box, we consider that a strong password and do not require updating the password" but that seems to not be true in my case.
Under Account Settings, there is the following: "Because you are using Single Sign On (SSO), you will need to create a unique password to use external applications that do not support SSO." Once I set this password, it let me accept the invitation to collaborate. It doesn't seem like someone from an organization other than mine sharing a Box folder would count as an "external application," but it seems this is the (not obvious from the error message) solve for people using SSO who see a Strong Password Required message.
