Box update - problem - DLL load failed while importing win32api: The specified module could not be found.
AnsweredThis is not interesting - I will follow the uninstall and clear out again - but it needs to be fixed - it is only this one computer station - update 2.42.212 - it has been happening for a week now
Thank you

(UPDATE AFTER FINDING THE ANSWER)
So I came back here to my original Post - During my search on how to find this, I came across a 'sales' BOX AI chat bot - when i happened to type in ' Box Support Sucks' It said "Oh, sorry that support couldn't help, what seems to be the problem?" I typed the error for the popup window that has caused me so much grief (above) and AI sales chat bot said...
"Oh, why don't you try to reinstall your C++ redistributables. Sometimes they get corrupted... etc etc. "
I went and found this link: for the x86 and the x64 C++ redistributables
AND IT FIXED THE ISSUE - so far - aftre i installed them, the notifications popped up and said update complete and the box drive window popped up. I tell you. I am glad this is done - My business partner was NOT interested to use the Web interface -
Good Luck - God Bless
Freddy
thanks - i am keeping my eye on this though...

Hi there,
Welcome to Box Community and glad to assist!
Can you manually reset your Box Drive Application?
- Exit Box Drive (if it is running). If necessary, use Task Manager to end the Box.exe process.
- Ascertain whether any files exist in C:\users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\Box\Box\unsyncedFiles. These are files that have not been uploaded to Box. If these files do exist, and if you want to keep them, copy them to any location outside of C:\users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\Box\Box\ (such as your desktop). Proceeding with the steps below deletes these files.
- You may need to show hidden folders to see \AppData.
- Delete this folder: C:\users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\Box\Box.
- From RegEdit, delete the registry entries under HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Box/Box to clear Box preferences.
- Restart the Box Drive and follow the prompt to log back in.
Hope it helps!
