Box Sync (backup) problem
I noticed that I have two versions of Sync.
One is Box Sync and another is Box Sync (backup).
When I searched "Box Sync (backup)". I found that somebody experienced the same problem: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=7786619
Do I have to manually examine which files are overlaps and which files are unique, and then move them to the Box Sync folder and delete the Box Sync (backup) folder? Or is there a better way?
Why does this happen?
How can I prevent this from happening in the future?
I think I should move to Google Drive because of this...

Hi All,
Welcome to the Box Community and thanks for your post in the forum! You may have renamed the Box sync folder when you uninstalled & reinstalled it thus showing another folder "Box Sync (backup)"
Here's what you can do at situations like this:- Verify that this is NOT the folder linked to your account. You can do this by clicking the "b" icon in your menu bar/ system tray and clicking on "Open Box Sync Folder"(see attached image).
- If it's NOT linked to your Box account, verify that the contents inside are no longer needed or they've been uploaded to Box.
- Proceed with the deletion once you've done the steps 1 & 2.
Hope that helps!
Best,
France
