    Hi All, 

    Welcome to the Box Community and thanks for your post in the forum!

    You may have renamed the Box sync folder when you uninstalled & reinstalled it thus showing another folder "Box Sync (backup)"

    Here's what you can do at situations like this:

    1. Verify that this is NOT the folder linked to your account. You can do this by clicking the "b" icon in your menu bar/ system tray and clicking on "Open Box Sync Folder"(see attached image).
    2. If it's NOT linked to your Box account, verify that the contents inside are no longer needed or they've been uploaded to Box.
    3. Proceed with the deletion once you've done the steps 1 & 2.
