    Hi Patrick,

    Welcome to the Box Community!

Are there any special characters/ symbols in those file names you changed?

You might want to take a look at this article for unsupported file names as some operating systems do not support item names containing some special characters:

My directory of files on the two computers that I use Box sync on do not match the files listed online. In some cases a file is missing from one or the other. I have tried to mess with the unsync and then resync the files. I also have a set of files that did not show up online so I copied them from my desktop computer to online but they still do not sync. File names are not the issues because I never name a file with a character that is restricted in another operations system.

Same. I have the Box Sync folders on my desktop and I make changes to those document (sometimes renaming, etc.) but they aren't now updating online. What do we do? It was working yesterday. I logged into online box community (here) and saw "Box Unsynced" so I clicked it and it says operational, but still nothing updated.

I ended up removing Box Sync and installing Box Drive, and it seems to be working for me.

Hm, I clearly don't know the difference. I thought anything I did in Box online would be reflected in my Box Sync folders on my desktop and vice versa. But it's not consistently happening. I guess I'll have to see what Box Drive is and if it'll work for what I want. Thanks
