Box app crashes on Amazon Fire Tablet
I've been using the Box app successfully for a few years on Amazon's Fire Tablet. That's no longer the case. It appears to be opening but then crashes back to the device's home screen.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled. Immediately upon reinstalling, it works once. On the second use, it crashes and I'm back at tablet's home screen.
On my Android phone, the Box app works fine. So I could exist without Box access on my tablet, but reading a recipe (to take a common example) is MUCH easier on the tablet than on the phone.
Suggestions? Or am I the only person on the planet with an Amazon tablet who uses Box?

Yes. I have the latest Fire OS on my tablet, last updated on November 1 of this year.
I have been dealing with Box support for a few days. Four exchanges of info haven't taken me very far. That's why I thought I'd try the community forum approach hoping to reach someone else in this world who used the Android Box app on an Amazon Fire tablet. So far, no one has stepped up to admit to doing such a thing.

Hi, I too have the same problem on my Amazon Fires. The strange thing is, it worked fine on all my Amazon Fires including my 7" and 8" Fires until about 2 weeks ago before the update. Now it only works on my Fire 7". I get around this by using the internet version but that one syncs only a day later. Too bad they haven't been able to fix this for you because that might have meant they could fix it for me. Anyway, just so you know, you are not alone.

Thank you! Your reply gives some hope and also a useful idea.
I'm bemused but encouraged to know that the Box app works on your Fire 7. I have only a Fire 7. I find that it works once on the Fire tablet before going into the crashing behavior. I've worked around that by going to the app settings and cleaning out the cache and the stored date. I can then start Box nicely, log in, read the recipe I've saved there (as an example) and avoid closing the app until my immediate use for it is done.
Somebody is going to figure something out, I hope.
I took your implied suggestion, opened a browser window on the tablet, and went to Box.com. That actually worked nicely and is probably easier that doing the Settings > Apps > Box > clear out >start Box thing.
Let me ask for another bit of advice. I like the fact that the browser on my cell phone (Android) will put a browser like to any site I may be at on my Home screen. I can't find this in either the Silk browser or Chrome. Is this kind of obvious thing missing? Or am I simply not seeing it? (Of course on my Windows machine a simple drag and drop does the job.)
