Hi,

I have a root folder shared of lots of collaborators, with some subfolders on it.

We have a new legal rule, where we need to move folders after 1 year of sharing.

Is there a way to automatically move a folder on a specific date?

    The proper way to share and remove subfolders depends on when the directory was established however there may be exceptions

    Welcome to the Box Community!

    I don't believe we have a feature that you asked in here available in Box.

    Also, if you are not the owner of a specific folder, you cannot move it to another location. This idea has been shared to our Product Team in Box Pulse-our feedback site, where users would like the ability to have a "Shared with me- Folder Management for Collaboration Folders". The suggestion is currently 'Under consideration' but you may also add your vote and share your use case on the comment section on how this will be useful for you and your organization.

    Our product managers review these requests and take them into consideration for future product development.

    Thanks for your replies.

    Maybe I didn't explain the issue correctly. The feature I'm searching for is to be able to automatically move a folder (that I'm owner and it's shared with external users) to another area (keeping it internal), on a specific date.

    The point is that I need to be sure that these folders are only shared for 1 year. I could create a reminder for this, but there are lots of folders to move on different dates.

    Example:

    Folder 1 (shared with external collaborators)

    > Subfolder 1 (uploaded in January)

    > Subfolder 2 (uploaded in March)

    > Subfolder 3 (uploaded in October)

    > ...
