    Hi Henrique,

    Welcome to the Box Community!

This is definitely an unusual behavior for Box Drive so to help further look into this, I've submitted a case to Box Support on your behalf.

Hello! I am having the same problem. My folder is no longer on my desktop. I can still access via web but much preferred the local version. Is there advice on how to bring it back? Thank you! Shannon

Ditto here, too. Box has disappeared from desktop. Updated to Monterey this morning... coincidence?

    Thanks.

I also updated to Monterey yesterday and Box desktop is not available to me this morning. I have tried reinstalling the app and updating the password with no luck. Can you let me know if you know a way around this.
    Thanks

Same here. I just updated my iMac to the newest operating system, Monterey, and Box drive disappeared. When I click on Box in sidebar I get the message

“Box” can’t be opened because the original item can’t be found."

Same issue here.... The Box folder was on my desktop (Mac) 2 hours ago, and it disappeared after my OS got sluggish and I had to force a restart.  Now, no matter what I do, it won't come back.  I reinstalled multiple times, played with the extensions, etc.... nothing works.

If you click the Box icon in the banner on the top of your screen of your Mac, a small window will appear. Next to the search box in that window you will see a folder icon. If you click that, the Box folder will appear on your desktop, but you will see little cloud shapes with a downward-facing arrow inside to the right of every folder and file. If you click on the cloud icon the folder will download and you can open it. It took me a day to download all my Box files. Then, a few weeks later, I saw the cloud figure with the arrow pointing down again on all my files.

Unfortunately, I need to use Box, as my employer and a govt. agency I work with are sharing their files via Box.  I will get away from Box as soon as I can. Their technology and their customer service are terrible. I also use Dropbox, which slows my computer a lot but at least is very reliable.

@France this is not an "unusual behavior." It happens nearly every time I install updates! Currently trying to figure out how to get Box back after some Windows 11 updates, which apparently is different than how I used to do it with Windows 10.

Agree with Althea Pestine-Stevens here, and I am using Windows 10. Three different computers, all Windows 10, three different browsers, every single time a browser updates or the computer installs updates the Box plugin disappears and says it doesn't exist on my computer, download it every day. It makes it impossible to recommend to others, this is a productivity tool, downloading it every day is not helpful to anyone's productivity.
