How to preserve folder date created?
Hello, I want to know how to preserve the original date created timestamp of a folder during syncing ? I am using box sync and when I move folders inside from laptop hard drive to box sync folder, the date created is preserved for the folder BUT, when i unlink or log out of box sync account and sync to another laptop, the date created of the folder is changed to the current date and time of the sync (today). I do not want this to happen, I simply want the original date created & time of the folder. Thanks

Hi there,
Welcome to the Box Community!
Have you checked out this article on Understanding Box File Timestamps yet?
Folders: No, a folder's "Created" timestamp is the date when the folder is created on Box.
Unfortunately, it looks like the original "Created" timestamp of a folder upload to Box using any of our upload/ application tools is not preserved.
If this is something you would like to be able to do, I would highly recommend submitting this feature request at pulse.box.com! Our product managers review these requests and take them into consideration for future product development.
Thanks for your question and let us know how else we can help!
Best,

I'm having the same problem. Box sync didn't have this issue. Box Drive is almost unusable for some sync applications because it does not preserve file dates. Please fix this! All OS specific file dates should be preserved when files are copied into Box drive. There is never a reason that Box Drive should change these dates.
