Box Drive - Security
Dear Box Team,
Most of my projects utilise Box Drive which we all find very convenient however i do have a question. When a staff member leaves but we retain the user profile for other staff we automatically will change the password for data security reasons. The problem i have is that the person that already has Box Drive installed on their laptop still has access to the Box even although we change the password. Yes if they try and login via internet they can't access but they still have access via Box Drive via the filepath on their laptop. Is this a common problem and how do we resolve? If this is not something that can be fixed we may need to migrate all our data to a different system. People are able to install Box Drive on their own personal laptop if they want as we can't control. Even after they leave the company they would then still have access to the data including new published data.
Can you advise on this as i see this as a serious data breach issue. We had assumed that when you change the password Box Drive would automatically prompt you for the new password or access would be lost but this is not the case. I need your urgent feedback on this issue please.
