Giving collaborators uploader viewer access to a file within a folder with only viewer access

I have a committee of 35 volunteers who are viewer collaborators on a folder. I want to provide editor access to 1 file within that folder. I know the waterfall framework but I don't want to give them access to subfolders or other files. Tthere must be some way to enable all of them to edit/provide input in 1 file.

    Hi Kirsten, 

    Welcome to the Box Community and thanks for your post!

    If changing collaborator permission to Editor on the folder in not an option, you can move that 1 file out of the folder and then invite the collaborators in that single file. This way, your collaborators can remain Viewers in your Folder, and you will be able to grant them "Editor" access to that 1 specific file.
