    And yes, I have Box Tools installed, and all of the default programs for different file types have also been designated.

    Welcome to the Box Community and I'm sorry to hear about the issue with Box tools, I'm happy to help!

    To confirm, are you using Box Tools in a Windows or Mac computer?

    Could you try to uninstall and then reinstall Box tools from your computer and use the installer downloadable from this page and see if that helps resolve this folder you?

    Hi, France.

    I apologize, but it's Box Edit that we've been using to open documents on the desktop of a Windows computer, and NOT Box Tools.

    Sorry for the error. Should I still uninstall and reinstall Box Edit?

    Yes, please. Box Tools is the installer package that installs Box Edit so they are practically the same.

    Let me know how it goes and if you are still having issue so we can continue troubleshooting.

    Uninstalled and reinstalled Box Tools, and still the same result. I see that there's a Windows update that hasn't been applied, which sometimes affects certain programs from running properly. I'll try to install the update, and let you know if that helps.
