    This seems require that you change a few settings on your iPad's browser and apple support might be able to help.

    I also found this discussion in Apple forum on how to prevent your browser from opening apps on your device and might be of help.

    France, Thanks for the link to the Apple forum -- unfortunately, it shows that there's nothing a user can do other than delete apps.  This feature/bug seems to appear and disappear with different updates to Safari, and when Safari is acting this way, the only solution according to the Apple forum is to delete the Box app.
