Our sole macOS user seems to be experiencing this problem.

    Box ver. 2.24.211
    macOS: 10.14.6

Uninstalled Box, rebooted & reinstalled latest version - receiving continuous notifications that certain files can't be opened. No reports from the Windows users so far.

I am also experiencing exactly this as a macOS user. Also as there is no 'pause' button when the files are syncing it is proving to be detrimental in my work flow. Please address this, Box!

I'm having this exact problem. There is no functionality on the transfer window to pause, cancel or restart any of the syncs or reorder your sync list. It means when something like this goes wrong there is nothing you can do to stop it trying to re-sync all of your files (when they are clearly there in the first place as you can use and preview them). Can this be addressed as a priority bug fix?

I have had to use browser only version as downloading 400GB of files every time I reboot is not going to work.  In the browser I have Unsynced everything yet it still downloads all files whenever I open Box Drive app. It's like the Box Drive app has no communication with the backend.  I figured unsyncing everything via browser would fix the problem but the Box Drive app downloads everything anyways!

It is insane that Box doesn't address this.  It makes it unusable.

I've had this happen on two different computers, to the tune of 500GBs each.  This is completely ridiculous.  Any update?!

This is happening AGAIN.  Again, something like 500+GB re-syncing.  I'm on multiple computers, multiple accounts.  I panic logged out the other day and it proceeded to duplicate files bc of sync conflicts.  This is horrible.  I've had so many problems with Box over the past few months.  Please Box support, please help this

This is happening to me occasionally, but not on every login. It hasn't been catastrophic to a deadline yet, but it will be eventually. Resyncing 300-500 gigabytes takes almost an entire day. There is also no way to prioritize the downloading/syncing process, so sometimes I have to wait 5-6 hours to access one critical file. Also on Mac. I have noticed that this needs to be done every time I update OS, but it also happens at other seemingly arbitrary times. Often on a Monday.

So, Box, you're going to remain completely silent on this? Some of us do not have infinite drive space. This is a crippling issue. I would give it a Sev. 1 - work stoppage.

I've been dealing with this on another ticket and have had no helpful info.  David Berninger, one thing to note (probably won't make a difference) is that marking things as unsynced on the web portal has a direct tie to Box SYNC, but has no effect on Box Drive.  Box Drive's download settings are done in Finder or Windows explorer through the right mouse click settings.  Regardless, I've had two separate computers re-download stuff that had been marked as "Make Available Offline" several times and set me back hours of waiting before I could do work.
