Watch a Windows folder and back up changes to it
I apologize if this was posted in the wrong place, but I was wondering if there was any way for Box Drive or Box Sync to watch a Windows folder and back up any new files that get added to it? We have the Enterprise Plan if that helps anything since it should include whatever features we'd need to do this.
I have a few teammates who use one specific workstation to run experiments and store data, and they want to use Box as their backup (as opposed to backing it up in an S3 bucket). The idea would just be to somehow set up a system to execute a sync on folder changes. What I initially thought of was to track the folder's events via Event Viewer and then use the event in Windows Task Scheduler to trigger a script or application whenever the folder changes.
However, I'm not entirely sure how to get Box to back up that specific folder. I know that I can manually upload the folder to box, and then tell it to sync with the computer, I don't want to have the team members save their data to the Box Drive/Sync directory and then manually copy those same files to the "Data" folder on the computer.

Hi Vince,
Welcome to the Box Community!
Unfortunately, Box Drive does not support Windows folder redirection, as noted in our support article here: Windows Specific Known Issues for Box Drive
This might be possible through Box Sync instead of Box Drive, however we want to reiterate that this is not an officially supported configuration.
Thanks for reaching out and for your participation in the forum!
Best,
