folder disappeared for all collaborators

    Welcome to the Box Community!

    The only way to retrieve the folder is to contact the owner. Since you've mentioned that the owner is using a university account, it might be deleted or the shared folder has expired.

    I'm the owner of the account, actually, but my password at my former university expired and I'm no longer able to log in through the single sign-on system to access the folders. I still get my email all forwarded, though, and I definitely never received any warning that the account was going to shut down or that shutting it down would affect the folks with whom the folder was shared. How can we retrieve the contents?

    I am experiencing the same problem. My university account was deleted recently and I can no longer (as the admin) migrate any contents I had on that account to elsewhere before losing access. I really need the files in question and I am astounded to know that collaborative folders and transferring ownership of folders does not guarantee securing files at all. 

    Is there anyway to retrieve these files?
