folder disappeared for all collaborators
I have been working with several collaborators from a shared folder (and several subfolders) and today we realized that the folder disappeared for all of us. We had access to it approximately one week ago. We're not sure why, but this may be informative: The original owner of the folder was using a university-based account and is no longer affiliated with that university, although some collaborators still are. How can we retrieve the folders' content?

I'm the owner of the account, actually, but my password at my former university expired and I'm no longer able to log in through the single sign-on system to access the folders. I still get my email all forwarded, though, and I definitely never received any warning that the account was going to shut down or that shutting it down would affect the folks with whom the folder was shared. How can we retrieve the contents?

I am experiencing the same problem. My university account was deleted recently and I can no longer (as the admin) migrate any contents I had on that account to elsewhere before losing access. I really need the files in question and I am astounded to know that collaborative folders and transferring ownership of folders does not guarantee securing files at all.
Is there anyway to retrieve these files?
