    Welcome to the Box Community!
     
    This looks like an incorrect sharing permissions on the shared file. In other words, whoever created the link did not set the correct access level on the link. If you are not already a collaborator in the folder (or file) the link points to, the link would need to be set to "people in the company" (if that person is also at your company) or "people with the link" (if that person is not part of your company).

    I am a new user. I too am trying to get access to a shared folder from an invitation, and I have been unable to do so at all. Furthermore, I collaborate with two companies on box, as do multiple people in my company. I repeatedly get this error message no matter which company sends it (and my colleagues are all receiving and viewing the shared files). It's unlikely that BOTH companies (Disney and Warner Brothers) have made the same error in setting my access level (and I have checked with both of them and they say it is a Box problem). Can I get some help?
