Uploading files creates large cache and unsynced files storage clogging up HD
I work for a company using Box to upload tons of files to a client, some of them very large video files. We're currently working on a large project and continually get messages saying we need to clear HD space to upload files using Box Drive.
I used a third party app called "Clean My Mac" to find out where all the space is getting filled up at and it's these two folders at this location: /Users/[Username]Library/Application Support/Box/Box/
The problem only resolves if I quit Box and delete these two folders. Then my HD space goes back to normal. I've looked on your support pages about this and all anyone says is to log out of Box to clear the cache, but this does not work. Is there no way to NOT create cache when uploading files to Box? Or limit the cache space allowed so it doesn't overrun the HD space?
The reason our client chose Box for us to use is because we can easily upload our files to them directly from our NAS server to their server so they don't have to spend time downloading files. Is there any other way we can do this without creating cache files on the local HD?
