Global permission changes
Hi Everyone -- We have a situation which may be familiar to other companies using Box. Here is the issue: When we are developing a product, the corresponding Box folder has an owner, and everyone else with whom the folder is shared has Editor access. A typical project might have two hundred Editors. When the product goes into production, we want to change all of the Editors to Viewer/Downloaders to better secure the data within the folder. Right now, this permission change can only be done one person at a time, which is not a problem for a dozen Editors, but is a huge time-sink for many dozens of Editors. We are looking for a feature that allows the owner or co-owner of a folder to globally change all Editors in Viewer/Downloaders. Such a feature might be welcomed by many of your clients. What is the right way to move forward on this? As ever, many thanks for your help.

There is currently no feature that will change the collaborator permission in bulk or globally in the Box WebApp. However, you may want to look into using Groups which should allow admins to easily change permission on folders accessed by members of certain Groups.
