Issue with MacBook Pro M2: You installed an older version of Box Drive on top of a newer version
Good evening,
I transferred all my data from my backup disk to the new MacBook and received the same error message as others posted 1 year ago. Would you please help? I tried uninstalling, reinstalling Box Drive at least 5 times. Thank you.

Hi QLKBUI,
Welcome to the Box Community, I'm happy to help!
To resolve this issue, can you please do a clean uninstall of Box Drive from your Macbook following this article: https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360044196293-Uninstalling-Box-Drive
After you've completely removed traces of Box Drive from your computer, restart your Mac, and download the installer of Box Drive here and complete installation process.
Thanks for reaching out and let us know if you have any questions!
Regards,

Hi France,
Thank you for your quick response. I followed the steps you outlined but still received the same error message, "Box Drive has encountered an issue ... You installed an older version of Box Drive on top of a newer version."
By the way, when I used Terminal to run the script to remove Box Drive, below is the message I received. Would you please provide next steps? Thank you in advance for your time! Q

Try running `launchctl bootout` as root for richer errors.
