    Hi QLKBUI,

Welcome to the Box Community, I'm happy to help!

To resolve this issue, can you please do a clean uninstall of Box Drive from your Macbook following this article: https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360044196293-Uninstalling-Box-Drive

After you've completely removed traces of Box Drive from your computer, restart your Mac, and download the installer of Box Drive here and complete installation process.

Thanks for reaching out and let us know if you have any questions!

    Regards,

    Hi France,

Thank you for your quick response.  I followed the steps you outlined but still received the same error message, "Box Drive has encountered an issue ... You installed an older version of Box Drive on top of a newer version."

By the way, when I used Terminal to run the script to remove Box Drive, below is the message I received.  Would you please provide next steps?  Thank you in advance for your time!  Q

I ended up downloading all the files, saving them on iCloud Drive and working them directly from iCloud documents.

Thanks for your reply. Not a great end result. Too much effort to ensure a good and efficient synchronisation. Hope "Box" can come up with some solution.

I am having the same issue however when I try to uninstall Box using Terminal I get the following error.

    0

    Unload failed: 5: Input/output error

Try running `launchctl bootout` as root for richer errors.
