    I understand that you were experiencing a reason code 7 error, I'm happy to help.

    Can you try these tips and see if it help resolve this issue for you: 

    • Did you already tried connecting to different network?
    • How about restarting your computer?
    • Are you using the latest version of .NET framework
    • Can you check if TLS 1.0 is enabled on your machine? If it is, please disabled it. You may follow the steps below:

    1. Click Start and search for Internet Options
    2. Go to the Advanced tab
    3. Scroll down to the TLS options.
    - Disable TLS 1.0
    - Enable both TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.2
    4. Restart Box Sync and try to login again

    Furthermore, can you please double check and make sure that your network firewall is not blocking Box domains and that they have been whitelisted according to this article: https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043696434-Configuring-A-Firewall-For-Box-Applications

    tried on multiple networks, same issue.

    restart doesn't help, this has been broken for months

    latest .net is installed

    in internet options, only TLS 1.1 and 1.2 are enabled.

    firewall is disabled.

     

    i believe this is some kind of TLS related issue, but i don't know what it is.
