Deleted files not in Trash

I mistakenly deleted a number of files in a folder and I tried to cancel in the middle of the deletion process.

I found some of the files in the Trash and was able to restore them, but not others. I wonder if they somehow got 'lost' b/c I canceled in the middle of the process.

I'd be happy to upgrade from my free subscription if that would help.
