I should have signed in using the link
Hello there.
I the 18th of July I received an email requesting me to collaborate on a project using box. However I didnt click the link at that point. On August 3rd I received another email with a link to the folder for collaboration. I clicked on that, but the had to set up an account. I set up a trial account, with the free trial period ending on August 17th. I now understand that if I clicked the original link I would have been free of charge and did not have to set up the trial account at all.
My question now is, what should I do now?
If I can my trial account will the files I shared in this box be lost? This would be an issue because the links have been shared to a spreadsheet.
If I click the original link, and sign in using the same email address (or a different one) will this allow the data to remain if I subsequently cancel the trail account. Many thanks,
Eoghan

Hi Eoghan,
Welcome to the Box Community, I'm happy to help!
Instead of canceling your account, I would recommend reaching out to Box billing team about converting your account to a Free Personal Box, this should allow you to continue using your Box and access the files/ folders created and shared with it with limited features.
To contact billing team, you may send them an email at billing@box.com or if you are able to submit a ticket from your account, please go ahead and access this link: https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
Thanks for reaching out and if you have questions, please let us know!
Regards,
