Editor permissions lost after Folder was moved
Hi,
We are building a file structure in Box.com as we go along, working on multiple large projects.
I am an editor and part of my job is to edit the file structure. Today, I moved a folder that was in an arbitrary subfolder-- I did not change or delete files in the folder in any way. However, now my coworkers who were also editors have lost access. They are no longer editors, and cannot access or edit files in the folder that I moved. I cannot give them access because I am only an editor. We will have to ask an owner for permission again.
Is there a way to prevent this from happening? I need to be able to move folders without worrying that I am taking away other's access.
Thanks

Hi Malika,
Welcome to the Box Community, I'm happy to help!
Have you checked out this article on Box Folder permissions: https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043697254-Understanding-Folder-Permissions
If your collaborators are directly collaborated on the subfolder being moved, those collaborations will be preserved. If, however, the collaborations are at the parent folder level and the subfolder in question inherited those collaborators via waterfall collaboration, this would be expected behavior that they will be removed when the subfolder is moved.
Let us know if you have any questions and we will do our best to help!
