    Hi there,

Welcome to the Box Community! I'm happy to help.

Box does not support running Box Sync and Box Drive simultaneously on a single machine. We recommend replacing Box Sync with Box Drive.

Can you please follow these steps:

    1. Quit Box Drive if it's running

    2. Navigate to the location below and run (double-click) on the clean_box_desktop_artifacts file:

    Windows: C:\Program Files\Box\Box\clean_box_desktop_artifacts.bat

    3. Re-launch Box Drive and you will be prompted to login. Box Drive can be launched from:

    Windows: C:\Program Files\Box\Box\Box.exe

    Best,

AJ  I don't think the problem relates to both Box Sync and Box Drive installed simultaneously. NPO SABS doesn't mention Box Sync anywhere on his message and I'm having exactly the same issue as him.

I have a new MS Surface Laptop Studio that comes with Win 11. I installed Box Drive and when I try to login (with same credentials as I use in another laptop Win 10 and my Android phone) it just doesn't do anything. The taskbar icon is grey and says "Box Drive not logged in".

Would appear there's something weird with Box Drive and Windows 11.

Same Issues, brand new Surface Pro with Windows 11 Pro and Box Drive prompts for login after login I see Box running in taskbar but stating Not Logged In. Please fix Box Drive for Windows 11 21H2.

Probably the issue is related to Surface laptops...  I jus trealized my other laptop is and HP with Windows 11 21H2 and it works perfect

Unfortunately there's no support anymore for Individual box users so not really any hope to have this solved... Planning to move to One Drive since I already own a Office subscription

I'm not sure what or why, but after uninstalling Box Drive, I installed Box Sync and was attempting to figure out how to sync not only folders but files in the root folder. Since I wasn't finding away to sync the files in the root folder I uninstalled Box Sync and then on a whelm reinstalled Box Drive. Prompted to login as normal and it actually took my login and added Box folder to Windows Explorer and is working properly. Again not really sure what/why it started working.

    Thanks for the info Glen

I just uninstalled Box Drive, installed Box Sync and I'm waiting for the sync process to finish which will take a few hours apparently (30 GB). I'll try what you did and see if it works for me as well.

FYI: With Box Sync you can't sync folders selectively from the app. There's an option in the web page where you can mark folders for sync or un-sync though. That probably works together with the Box Sync process. I'll know more once my data finishes downloading.

The issue is solved for me, I simply uninstalled Box drive and installed box sync instead. The next time i started my laptop, drive was installed and everything works fine now.

Wow!... I can confirm the solution works!. So there's something weird with an installation of Box Drive on a clean Windows. You need to install Box Sync first, then un-install it and install Box Drive to have it working? Weird.

    Thank you for your help.

The problem was solved.  Just Edge authentification.  I set Edge as a default browser, then I clould login box from Box drive.

After login, other browser can be set as a default.  So far it works.

New laptop and had the same experience as Humberto. I installed box sync first, logged in. Then installed box drive and could log in. After box drive log in, box sync was automatically uninstalled after agreeing to the pop-up.
