Contact the client and have the resend the link. They can set the link to expire, so that might be what happened.

I don't think so. If you remove a user from a subfolder, they will be removed from the parent folder. I don't believe there's any way around this feature.

Did you look in the trash via Box from a browser? They should be recoverable. Look under Items I deleted and Items I own.

You should probably check with the person who invited you to collaborate—they may have removed the link or folder access by mistake.

Yes, this can be achieved with Apple Script, but I do not know if you're a PC or Apple user. It can be done with a PC as well.
