I've had this problem for years and up to right now i could always submit a case and box would run a script on their end to fix this supposed 'known issue that they're working on'.  Today i've discovered i can't even do that anymore as there is really no way that i could find to contact anyone.  All their 'contact support' menus are now circular dead ends.   Pretty much ready to move on to a different service.

    Hi Sarah and Tom,

    Welcome to the Box Community!

To Sarah, this would be something our Support team would like to investigate and may require specific account information. As I've checked, it seems you already have an open ticket for this issue with one of your support representatives, please continue working with them and check your email for updates.

To Tom, I've ran a script that will recount all of the files and how much storage is being used in your account. Sometimes Box caches previous file counts and storage amounts causing a data inconsistency. You should see the correct storage size available in your account.

If you have any questions, please let me know and I would be more than happy to help!

    Hi France

So when this happens again, is this now the only way to get it resolved? ie. post on box community and hope someone on the box team sees it?  Given i've gone through this process countless times over the last decade (and your answer plus "this is a known issue and we're working on it" has been the canned reply), I can all but guarantee you it will happen again.  Is there no way to contact box support directly?  Sorry if this sounds a bit 'on edge', but i spent way too much time today trying to figure out why the previous method has been removed and given the frequency of this occurring i'd like to have a much more certain approach to solving it as it almost always happens when i need to do file transfers with looming deadlines.
