Box API - Solution for upload file in new version with big folder

How can I upload file - new version in case:

Have many(milion file in subfolder) file same name and extension. Example: file1.txt

My solution:

1. Call api search https://developer.box.com/reference/get-search/ with file name in double quotes. And get list of file(include subfolder) 

2. Loop all item in local and find file name in same folder and get fileId

3. Upload new version of file Id

Is there any better solution?

- Box api have option search in current folder - not include subfolder?

- Box api have option upload file with "is overwrite", auto upgrade version
