How to convert managed users to collaborators/ unmanaged users without losing their access permission on shared folders

Hi team, I'm an IT from Playstudios. With over 300 Box users we consider ourselves a fairly big customer of yours. The problem is, right now we have plenty of 3rd party managed users with our company's unlimited Box storage licenses that they never touched (mostly 0KB of use). We want to convert them to collaborators/ unmanaged users without having to grant all their access permission to shared folders again. This will help us a ton to optimize our business costs (each of their licenses costs over 300$/per year)

Thank you in advance for your support and hope we will have a proper solution to this problem since we really love to use Box

  They didn't provide a solution for this problem, only a workaround. This involves public shared links, but we've disabled that function for security reasons. Another option is to delete the managed users and create a free "Individual" account for each of them using Gmail, then share access with them again. However, this process is too time-consuming, especially if you have over 50 users. Therefore, I suppose we will need to purchase licenses regardless.
