Please set it to search "Everywhere" by default

I see that for the past month people have been posting that the change to the global search bar has slowed them down, the tickets are marked "Completed" but there is no answer, just a promise to start a ticket.

Why introduce a search setting with two options and then make it so that the default cannot be changed? Why set it to search "This folder" when that is clearly the more annoying option?

I often forget to check the "search everywhere" box (because why would I need to select I want a global search on what has always been a global search bar!) search the folder I am in, realize my mistake, retype my query, and remember to check "Search Everywhere". It's just so frustrating. To have the option to search the folder is great, but to not include a user setting that allows you to set the default is just bananas.

I imagine most users have this level of organization and would prefer to use the search bar to navigate between folders, not within folders.
