That is likely due to your Box Administrator restricting content creation on the first level in Enterprise Settings.

    Hi Kirbi and Clayton,

To fix this issue, I send an email to [personal information--redacted] and explain the issue, they will restore the files.

I received the below response for reason:

In a few words of explanation, BOX at Roche was designed to prohibit creation of 1st level folders as all collaboration should happen inside your ExP Collaboration Workspace. There you can create vendor-specific folders for each collaboration. Due to a mistake in the past, it was temporarily possible to create 1st level folders which was unwanted behaviour. It was rolled back to the original settings a few months ago and since then we again block the 1st level folders creation.

Due to sensitivity of data that might be stored in BOX, this is a necessary security measure that must be in place. It guarantess that content owned by Roche can be shared with External Partners and ownership cannot be transferred to them, that retention rules are properly applied, that only internal users can grant permissions for externals and other requirements that are imposed by the security team.

    I hope this will help.

    Thanks & regards,

    Kinjal
