    Welcome to the Box Community!

    If you are looking to investigate on missing contents, we recommend running "User activity Report".

    User Activity reports provide an overview of the actions users are taking in Box. You may use this report to view all the actions made by your collaborators to the missing content.

    Reports can be generated by admins of your Box organization, and you may also use the report as reference to compare items that are still missing.

    We also had a bunch of missing files and ran the action report but no activity was shown.  I recovered some that I actually opened thru my Recent list.  For some reason they were still there.  box needs to look into this!

    same thing happened over here 2 different ways.  

    the first time our server needed replaced and after replacing it we continued using box for a few days until our partner couldn't see what we had saved there.  so we reinstalled it and wouldn't you know instead of syncing our folders to box online and recovering our lost data it synced the website to our empty folders on the computer and deleted everything.  we reinstalled it on all computers and got it to tart working again.  however all of the file paths have an extra 'box' folder in their name that i can't find on the computer anywhere other that the file path bar at the top of the folder function in windows.

    second time it happened, today, one of our partners couldn't see our folders, so i moved it into another folder that they could see.  Now, both of us can see the folder online, but it was deleted from my computer completely.  so i downloaded the folder before box decided that it should sync to my computer and delete everything because it glitched. the folder i downloaded appears to have everything in it, 1000's of files, but the online folder only has 72 files in it.  

    is your support team still looking into this 5 months later?
