I have multiple folders inside folders that are empty and I dont know why

I need help on understating why I have folders empty that I uploaded in the past and files where there but now they are not.

  Welcome to the Box Community!

  There are a lot possible scenarios that I can think of, the files may have been accidentally deleted, moved or transferred to another folder.

  Have you checked your Box Trash yet? Your Trash folder allows you to filter "Items I Own" and "Items I deleted". Filtering by "Items I Own" is helpful when trying to track down content that may have been deleted by a collaborator in a folder you own.

  Furthermore, a Box report will be helpful to identify what may have happened to your folder. You can run reports if have Admin privileges, or you reach out to your Box admin and request to generate a User activity report to investigate on this.
