Uploading a new version causes multiple new version uploads

I uploaded a new version of a file. The upload was successful and V2 assigned to the file. Then I noticed the upload started again without me triggering it, and the upload was successful(?) and V3 was assigned. As soon as that was done, the upload started again...this continued until V7 when I closed the application. What's going on?

I recently revised my file structure and moved files between folders. Could this have caused the problem that I'm seeing?

  Same issue, using Firefox 133.0 64-bit with Windows 10 Enterprise 22H2, loading the file with a drag&drop from the file explorer...
